advice needed please look and help

hi any advice welcome
had a knock at my door 2 years ago from a no win no fee company i thought me and my husband would give it a go for my son who is 5 years old to cut long story short

wwe had done everything we had been asked to for the first 2 years and then they asked us to take our son for a medical so i thought couse the claim had gone on so long and the company who were involoved in the case addimted liability (apparently money was waiting) so why did my son need a mediacal so i questioned this and ask to see proof of where the company addmited liabilty then i would attened a medical so i did not go to mediacal as they refused to show me proof then i recieved a nasty thretening phonecall from them saying im letting my sons future go and bayliffs will call and i dont want my kids to see this stuff like that made me upset so i complained then week later the same man who phoned me up knocked on my door i was not in so he told my LODGER everything about the case and was saying all the bayliff stuff to her ect ect i know there not allowed to do this so i phoned up saying i did not want to go through with case as they have discussed personal imfor,mayion and were threatening to me and my lodger kinda made me scared at how nasty they were so they said i could not close case so in time they kept refussing to send me evednce of liability from the company and they kept sending out appoitmnents for medicals which i did not attend to as they vcould not send me what i had asked for now i have huge bill of two thousand pounds can anyone tell me what my rights are here or help in anyway i mean if i owe thwm the money fair enough but they should not have done what they did do they were constinty knocking or phoning me

What sort of claim where you making? If it was personal injury then the courts would want to see evidence from a medical expert to see how serious the injury was. By rights both you, the claimant, and the other party, the defendant, can use two different medical experts.

Also even if the case was settled before you went to court, the other party could put in a condition of settlement that you would have to see a medical expert of their choice to ensure that no further claims could arise from that injury.

This means your son would have to have a medical and it would be unlikely that your case has been settled as your legal advisor has been saying.

If your lawyer or legal advisor has been giving out personal information to people who are not members of your family, threatening you with debt collectors and informing you the case has been settled without giving you the conditions of settlement, then you:
1. Need to put a complaint in writing to the No-Win-No-Fee Company's complaints department. Send the letter via recorded delivery, ask for a reply within 14 days on the letter and make sure someone checks the letter before sending it. (Sorry your post here is hard to read- don't know if it is your usual style or it's because you are emotional.)

2. Wait for a reply from them and if you don't receive a suitable reply take the matter to the law society in writing. (Google for their website and complaints procedure.)

Also next time before you make any claims for anything do your research- if it seems to be too good to be true then it probably is. Personal injury claims can take years and can be very nasty. Also No-Win No Fee lawyers have a way of getting large sums of money out of the claimants leaving them with a very small amount of the award left.

yes was personal injury and they dont have a website i will write a letter of complaint to them but what good can that do? thank u for yr help
