Switching from prepayment meter

I'm with BG who are (apparently) my cheapest supplier according to the various websites I've checked!

Anyway I've had a gas prepayment meter for years and owe no debt (actually £35 in credit) and I want to switch back to a 'normal' meter, does anyone know how much this would cost me?

BG will do it free, however they will do a credit check. If you have a low score they will either insist you pay by DD or ask for a security deposit which they give back in 12 months provided you've paid your bills on time.

Thank you, I shall give them a call, my credit is ok, not great but not bad either and I'm paying my electricity with them by direct debit so hopefully it won't be a problem!

    Thanks again.
