As a moderator on several freecycle groups , this is the most common complaint and reason for people leaving. Please sign in on yahoo groups go to your freecycle group and click on edit my settings , change the drop down menu from individual emails to daily digest .
You will then only get one email a day. :rotfl: :T :T
Make a subfolder in your inbox, point all emails with freecycle in the body or title into the folder, you clear out your inbox that way and if you don't look at it for a couple of days, you can just delete the lot.
But I like to keep them all, so when I'm giving something away, I can see if the person that wants my item has done any giving themselves.
There are some lovely people on freecycle and there are some right idiots.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -

The trouble with freecycle is it's getting clogged with want ads0

yeap my sister got us some expensive looking rose oak chairs from freecycle, they were very heavy and beautiful! we gave them some choccies to say thanks!
I've since given away some things, foot massagers etc. Its a perfect way to give things away and convenient too as its picked up from your house and you dont need to worry about postage!0 -
to avoid being overwhelmed with messages if you're in a big freecycle group, make sure you subscribe to the daily digest, as opposed to individual messages. the homepage for your group should tell you how, otherwise ask the moderatorBoyfriend & I have saved £12K in two years, thanks to careful budgeting and keeping a record of what we spend. I've never paid myself this amount of money before - it feels great!0
