    They cocked up, didnt activate the button, so instead of leaving it as it was they are now using the 17th and it clearly says so on the page they seem to inept at editing for a supposedly techie bunch.
    I bet that some people tweeting away here now aren't following them anymore too....I wasn't and I asked others who also weren't anymore. Not following...can't win. I WAS following, I didn't unfollow. That leaves them doing it.
    Lost interest in this completely now I know it's so badly run...

    Twitter has a recognised problem and randomly unfollows people. It's being doing it for ages and is just getting worse.
    I'm not aware of any way to remove people who follow you. The only way around it I've found is to keep all your follows in lists then you can regularly for a 're-follow' using something like tweetbe.at list manager. Twitter is a victim of it's own success and is heading the way of Facebook, ie downhill.
