Summer 2012 sees changes to flights to BCN compared to 2011.

easyJet is flying from Southend SEN

ryanair is flying from Stansted STN

Monarch is competing with easyJet from Gatwick LGW

BA has more flights from Heathrow, some flights have IBeria codes.

So the heads up is to do a thorough search covering all possibilities to get a clear picture of available flights and their prices when doing comparisons https://www.skyscanner.net can be useful with this.

Also I found that for late bookings when the prices tend to rise check Avios often still have seats on the BA LHR flights, handy to join a late cruise booking

BA commences LGW-BCN from 23 February 2013

Vueling commences BCN-LGW from 31 March 2013

So LGW will have four airlines competing for your custom.
