Age wrong on Car Insurance for 2 Years

Bit of an odd one and I need some help.
Rang my insurance friday as I wanted a quote for how much I would have to pay to change my car (was looking at buying a new one and have 2 months left on my policey).
Rang back today as I have now bought the car and the woman I spoke to said my age was set as 1960 (not 1986) like it should be.
This has obviously affected my price and it has jumped from £26 to £75 a month for the last two months.
I cannot believe that this has been wrong for nearly two years (currently got my grandma going to my house to look at the paperwork as I'm at work).
Now, this is not the first call i've made. I've rung 4/5 times over the duration of this policey and it's never been picked up before (can't swear they asked my DOB on the calls).
I asked if this means I haven't been insured for the last two years and she said it's something they would have investigated (which i'm taking as a no).
Now I understand the onus is on me to check the paperwork (not sure what it says yet, will update when I get the answer).
But, where do I go from here?

I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

You should have checked the details were correct to be honest, I certainly wouldn't drive without going over my insurance docs with a fine toothed comb.0

Ouch! Bet that came as a shock - now you realise why the rest of us check everything..
Several scenarios could happen now:
Insurers invalidate your policy claiming you were not insured correctly, police could become involved if the insurer is a grass (no way of knowing but then they'd have to prove you were driving at any given point in time)
Insurers decide "Rats, we lost some cash, oh well not much we can do" and you get off with it.
Insurers ask you to repay the difference (I've heard of this happening too). That being the case they may adjust your premiums to repay it.
You may need to stick to your guns and say that you gave them the correct DOB and you'll get the FSA involved etc as it's their cockup. Insurers aren't perfect, they make blunders and try to make you think it's your problem (had it happen more than my fare share). Be warned you may want to request to hear the recording of the call when you setup the policy before taking this route just to be sure..0 -
Sorted. They gave me a small discount for the fact I have previously passed through security screening and the DOB was never picked up before.
I do check my documents, this being an oversight. I'm normally very careful when it comes to things like this. All my car docs are in a folder, will all my insurance i've ever had, receipt for every MOT and work carried out.
This is most certainly one of very few times i've fluffed something up like this lol
Anyway, down to £66 for two months then I'll switch.
Not to get on with all my other problems lolI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0
