Transfer of mobile contract?

I'm thinking about ending my orange everyday 50 contract, and I've seen a couple of people selling their sim cards on ebay.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to transfer my sim card to someone with the contract then having no ties to me?

erm... do u mean give your contract sim card to someone else to use?
cost that would defo be a no-no !!!
they would use the account and u would get the bill?
legally u would still be responsible as the agreement for that sim is between you and the mobile company.
surely this isnt wot u mean ???0 -
Are the majority of sims on there not just PAYG ones, could be some implications with sticking a contract sim on there2p off is still 2p off!0

Most are PAYG sims, but there is the odd one that is contract. But I'm obviously slightly worried about, don't want to end up receiving bills for someone else!0

I transfered my orange contract sim to someone else a few years back. Orange customer services are happy to do this. The buyer needs to fill in some forms and so do you. Orange then treat the buyer as a new customer and whilst they get your contract & your number, they have to sign a new 12 month contract. The new buyer also needs to pay orange an admin fee for doing this.
To be honest, unless its a very good telephone number there is absolutely no reason why a buyer would want to buy a contract off someone else as its much much better value to get a brand new contract with orange as you get a new phone for free, no setup fee`s and a new number.0
