Making a restore disk

Hi,
I'm just about to use the recovery partition on my laptop. I have only had it just over a week but it seems to have so many annoying little quirks
It has Vista on it and the DEP keeps on shutting down my msn live and also esystem load and prepare whatever that is. Its driving me mad because it takes the laptop ages to load while its trying to find out why it cant open all of the programs
Before I do it, i just wondered if i could ask if I have made the restore disk okay? Now I look at it again I dont think i have. I followed the instructions but I only seem to have made a 'create user backup disc'. 'create a factory default disc', 'create system configuration backup disc' and 'creat drivers and application backup disc' look like they still need to be made as i can still click on the links. Hmmmm, will I need a rw dvd for all of them? Its an Acer 3682wxmi btw. I hope someone can help, as you can probably tell... i'm not very technical.

I have an Acer but haven't tried to do what you're doing. Does this help at all ?Problem:
How can I launch Acer eRecovery Management to back up or restore my system?
Solution:
You can press <Alt+F10> or the Empowering Key to launch in a Windows environment, or press <Alt+F10> during boot up. For the Veriton desktop series, you can also press the hardware reset button at any time. For the Aspire or AcerPower desktop series, an Acer eRecovery Management icon can be found on the desktop screen.
