Hello everyone
I was not entirely sure if I had PPI on my credit cards (3 RBS now settled and closed and 1 Halifax also closed) but decided to send off claim letters anyway. I decided to do this as 2 colleagues did the same thing and it turned out they did have it and were refunded.
I sent off the template letters from this site and have received letters back from both RBS and Halifax. They acknowledge receipt of my form but they also go on to say along the lines of " I am sorry this situation has occurred and thank you for bringing it to my attention. We are now gathering information and documentation relevant to your claim to help us assess it further"
Does this sound like I did indeed have PPI on these cards? One of my colleagues indicated that she sent several of these letters off and in the instance she did not have PPI she got a letter very quickly to tell her so.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You should really have sent a SAR request before your complaint which would have shown whether you had PPI straight away. You could even have telephoned to ask them.0 -

No it sounds like a standard letter acknowledging the complaint.0
