split balance transfers

Hi all,

This might sounds a really stupid question but I want to split my balance transfer - I have £3300 of credit card debt and the newest 0% balance transfer card I have taken out will only allow £2300. Can I transfer the remaining £1000 to another card? I know this sounds stupid but I just wanted to check this was legal and that I can do it! There are no answers on the internet!

Thanks!

You can transfer any amount up to the availble credit (allowing for the fee).

Hi, I'm in the same situation and seriously considering the same thing, i think barring the hit your rating will take I don't see anything wrong with it, might I ask where you got the card you have? I will owe £3800 by end of week (car insurance tuesday :( ) and I've been offered £2800 by nationwide pre-credit check.

    Regards

    Al.
