wow less than 6 years is very impressive

    congratulations!
  • Great well done fabulous fantastic!!!!!

Would be even better to know exactly what you did (i.e. how much you've paid off) how long it took you and how you did it? Any tips...

    Enjoy financial freedom!
  • We had a £94K mortgage and a VirginOne account, which I know doesn't the best rates, but it worked well for us. Every spare penny went in, some free balance transfers on credit cards, always looking around for the best deals, using loyalty rewards in the most efficient way, making sure we've always got the best deal on utilities, etc...just lots of things we've learnt on moneysavingexpert really.

Both my husband and I are on average salaries, but have no children and I've actually been quite surprised on how pain-free it's been. We even managed to have a few nice holidays along the way. We're now looking forward to enjoying the financial freedom and I'm going to try and go part-time at work.

Thank you all for your advice over the years. I've not had the confidence to post myself much, but I have appreciated you all taking the trouble to.
  • Well done! You're an inspiration
