how expensive is expensive, I might give it a try
When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

i buy a pack of small wax strips from wilko

and i cut the strip into quaters i find 1 quater is perfect size and shape to do my upper lip

so 99p does about 50 upper lip waxes

but i also use these wax strips for my eyebrows too

  • For those waxers out there, how long does your lip remain red for afterwards? And we all have fair hair over all of our faces (or at least i do) is there an obviouse difference between the waxed area and non waxed area, especially when make up is applied?
I hate my face, am very self conscious and have tried all sorts of ways to remove hair. Each one, to me, makes the unwaxed/shaved/creamed area stand out even more:(

I don't usually post on the boards but do read daily !

Anyway, I have light/translucent fine downy hair in copious amounts on my face (not to mention the rest of me :-( ) and used to use cream on my upper lip and chin areas but it started getting less effective and I found I was having to use it every day and my face was getting sore from it but I still persisted.

It was obvious to me where the area was between no hair and hair but I don't know how much so it was to other folk.

About a month ago I bought one of those NoNo devices, a new design one that's meant to be better than the old one. So far I am absolutely loving it, it takes all the hair away off my face and my confidence is much better now :-) I know it's supposed to slow down the hair growth in time but I actually don't care about whether it does or doesn't because I#m only using it every few days and have a fantastically smooth hair-free face for the first time ever ! There are loads of reviews out there and some are good, some are bad but at the end of the day it's what works for the individual ! This works for me, if I had the right hair type I would definitely invest in IPL though, plus with Groupon there are always offers so it's very MSE ;-)

I used the No! No! for many many months three times a week. Yes, it did a good job of removing fine 'downy' type hair it didnt make a scrap of difference to hair that was a bit thicker.

I didnt find it slowed down the rate of growth at all let alone halting it. It was easy to use though but just such a lot of money for such temporary results.

My place does IPL for £30 a session for the upper lip, though you get discounts if you pay for the whole course upfront. Groupon does indeed do vouchers quite regularly, though even without that it's much more cost-effective overall than perpetual shaving/waxing etc!
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
