Help with CD

Hi

I have a Music CD that I added to my itunes library, I then burned a track from itunes on to a blank CD-R.... but when I tried to play it in a CD player it wont play...however it will play in my laptop

anyone know why it wont play in the CD player?

Your CD player doesn't play MP3 files(or whatever format in which the files are stored).

Create an Audio CD for standalone players or check which formats your CD player can play.

Put the CD in the laptop, go to Computer or My Computer, and use Windows Explorer to look at the content of the disc

If the content shows as a .CDA file for each track on the disc, you have what's called a Red Book CD which should play on any CD player.

If iTunes has created a disc with .mp3, .wma, or other extensions, that's a Data Disc which will only play on drives which can read this format.

Look at the options under the Burning dialogue in iTunes
