Pages jumping back to where I was.

Any page I look up appears briefly and then the screen goes
back to the previous page, usually Google. If I manage to type
something, maybe just a short word, the new page stays but I just can't carry on like this.
Has anyone got an idea about the cause of this problem?
The only change I have made is to try altering thecolour in Control panel.

What operating system and which browser are you using?0

I am using Firefox. Incidentally I did a System Restore yesterday
after which I could not get any browser but an hour ago I was
looking for solutions to the new, serious, problem and came across a page somewhere in Control Panrl which advised undoing
the System Restore. After this completed I have Firefox back.
Did you have an answer to my original question?0 -
I've had this with Chrome on some websites - I traced it down to ADBLOCK and changed the setting not to run it on that website0
