New AA ISA 3.5% service

I am considering opening up an AA ISA (3.5% AER) but I don't know what their service reputation is like. I was wondering if anyone had experience with them in the finance world (in the finance world not with cars LOL :rotfl:). I don't want to have any problems with accessing my money when I need it, them not paying interest correctly or generally mismanaging.
Thanks Guys.:j

Haven't had any problems with their 3.2% savings account from a few months ago. Their internet banking service is basic but does allow faster payments in and out.0

Been with them just over a year for easy access savings.
Always done what they said they'd do and paid what they said they'd pay.
Been easy to talk to by phone on a couple of occasions where needed.
Faster Payments are more same day than fast.0 -
I've used them in the past for a savings account & never had an issue with them tbh.
My only gripe is that when you try & put money in the account it takes about 55 years to land in the account, but other than that everything is sound.0 -
Opened an ISA with them a few months ago, been really good so far. The internet part is pretty basic but everything I need is there and their phone service is really good too. The only problem I've had is my bank, for some reason, blocked a one off payment to my ISA? I phoned the AA and they sorted it, no problem.0

What DragonQ said
I've had several accounts with them in the past and they used to be very slow, but are much better now.
Also, I like the fact that when they have introduced a new or better rate account, they allow existing savers to transfer into it. You have to do it by phone though0 -
We have 4% cash ISAs (only cash ISAs we've ever done!) running with them until about this time next year. No hassle.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

I've only just noticed this was about ISAs lol.
If you're only looking at the 1yr term, then as AA don't allow transfers in, maybe you'd consider Santander, who will offer you the same rate but they allow transfers in - so you can bring over your ISAs from previous years to group all into one (could even do partial transfers maybe).
Unless you're one of those who wont touch them just because they're Santander.0 -
Quick question about AA's opening procedure I'd be really grateful if someone could help with:
I will be opening an instant access ISA for my 2012-13 money, with a view to funding it at the start of the new ISA year. All of my existing ISA funds went to National Counties BS so no concerns about transferring in.
I already have internet banking details with Santander, but have never used AA. I have heard that the AA needs a cheque to make the initial deposit? In which case the week or so that will probably add to the time before I start getting some interest will eat into the extra 0.2%. I know that Santander gives a separate account number for every savings account, so I should be able to open it in advance and pay in by faster payments on the 6th April (excluding bank holidays etc.)
Does anyone have any knowledge on AA's speed/procedure in opening ISAs?0 -

This was the kind of concern I was worried about. Although K_P you say later you didn't realise that I was asking about ISA's. It's no good paying in money to find that it takes forever before they start crediting interest. Any one else experienced this?

I was only just looking at a 1 year term but I was going to open it with new money not transfer in. However, I'm not very keen on Santander as they seem to have the kind of reputation I am trying to avoid, after reading other posts on this site.:)0
