Tesco Clubcard Holidays !!!

Options
I am a single parent who wants to take 2 children aged 12, (but will be 13 at the end of June) on holiday this year using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. I cannot afford a holiday really but do need one so thought if I could pay for it almost entirely from Clubcard Vouchers and maybe go All Inclusive that would be great since I dont have to take as much spending money, which I dont have anyway!! (I know All Inclusive sounds a bit extravagant but under the circumstances it would save me from having to buy meals out etc).

I have about £120 worth of vouchers and have been looking at the Cosmos brochures and managed to almost send myself insane. It seems so difficult working out the prices for 1 adult, 2 children, supplements, etc, etc.

Has anyone already been through this and could maybe help me with some advice? I really would appreciate it since my brain is almost fried with all the information !!

    Hi

How is the £120 Tesco vouchers worth in holiday vouchers?
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

I would work out the value of the tesco vouchers in holiday money (is it £480.00?) and then ring the company up and ask for a quote on what you want.
It obviously depends on where you also want to go, what airport you depart from, how many nights. etc..
Have you tried going through the steps on the Cosmos site? The 'I'm looking for..'' section on the front page? They are very good and would give you a rough idea of costs involved.

Just wondering....Does it have to be abroad? Haven holidays are good and price is reasonable too.
    Sorry that's not much help!
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

I'm going on a holiday to Butlins with my sister's family in June - works out about £60/£70 each. So that's about £300 ish for 5 days.

I thought it sounded naff till I watched the free DVD about Butlins. They have more for kids there that a foreign holiday would in my opinion, and there's even stuff for grown ups (the water park looks amazing!)

And it can be paid for it tesco clubcard deals

    Thanks for all the replies.

Doesnt have to be abroad, although the kids would prefer. Went to Butlins a few times already about 8 or 9 years ago and didnt really enjoy it. Having trouble with Cosmos website, seems to be sticking and cant get final price after entering all details.
    Will look at XL.com.

Would be much simpler with 2 adults and 2 kids methinks !!! There arent that many single parent holiday deals out there to choose from in my experience.

    :T

P.S. Dont know why I said £120 in Tesco Vouchers, I have £340 in Tesco Vouchers (see what I mean, my brain has gone!)

Over a £1000 in deals then? Good for you! I guess going abroad would give you a pretty good guarantee of the weather wouldn't it! Although going on a plane can be a saga sometimes!
Do you drive? As Haven parks in the Cornwall/Devon area have a lot of attractions around, and you can use vouchers for deals on (most) of those too!

Whatever you choose I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Phone Cosmos, they're very helpful but be aware that you'll pay full brochure price, no discounts. Excel charge the same as the web price, they don't charge extra for vouchers.

I would use then on xl then get cheap hotel because using them with cosomas you have to pay brochure price which isnt always a good deal. or use then on xl holidays

we've had some fantastic holidays on Tesco clubcard points but there is a warning - we came back from Brittany in September and keen to book again but French Life/Camping Life have changed their pricing structure for clubcard deals. Essentially they can't go towards whole cost, as we had done (a £1600 holiday for free!) now tesco vouchers can only pay towards acccomdation costs not travel to the site AND you can't use them against any special offers. So i was offered a £400 holiday in cash for fortnight at Easter or a £750 one with tesco vouchers paying about £250 towards it.

This year I've used a year's worth of tesco vouchers to stay in youth hostels around britain: Inverness at Easter, Lake District at May half term, Welsh coastal hostels for 3 weeks in the summer, and Peak district for a week at October half term. - all free!

Youth hostels are fantastic adn all offer self catering facilities so they are a really cheap deal. You can treat yourself to eating in the cafes in some of them and the 3 course evening meal is about £7.50 per adult; kids are half price!
