Hi guys and gals

Quick question, just logged on to Barclaycard to change my passcode and I see that £1.00 is owing yet I havn't even used the card!

I thought I'd run it passed you guys to ask if it's anything to be worried about or quiet normal for the Barclaycard Boys!

Any thoughts appreciated

Seems bizarre - unless it's some old interest? I'd suggest you call them.

I just rang them

"It's nothing to be concerned about and will be removed!"

Yet he couldn't explain why it had be placed on the account or what is was there for!

While I was on the phone I BT my Vanquis balance over.

Is it me or do Barclaycard staff treat every customers as morons?! LOL
I find them very rude and unhelpful.

Them making sure it was removed and telling you not to worry about it is "treating you like a moron", "very rude" and "unhelpful"?

I dread to think what you imagine "good" service entails!

By rude and unhelpful I meant in general. I don't expect to be offered a tea and biscuit when I ring but being treating like I'm a fool just because I don't understand Balance Transfers is a below the belt a bit.

This is my first BT card and I was understandably unsure about the whole process, so wanted him to go through everything so I was clear on things.

it's a nominal fee, I don't know how or why it comes up. I've been with Barclaycard for 10 years, and online as early as I could, I see things come up on my balance all the time (normaly in pending transactions) I put it down to them pre authorising payments and then removing the amount from my total when it doesn't go in. Sometimes I know where it comes from and others I don't, the £1 thing I've never understood, but I've seen it happen a bit. never been charged it though.

Same here. I've noticed my pending transactions are always £1 more than they actually are.
