Would this look suspicious to you? Ebay bids

If you saw someone had 40 auctions running, and currently 10 of those auctions have been bid on by the same person?
If it was me (being ever paranoid!), I would think there's some shill bidding going on. However they are my own auctions and I don't know the bidder, but am beginning to get a little worried that either, other potential bidders will see something dodgy with the bidding activity and not bid on my items, or that this bidder is attempting to sabotage my auctions (has feedback of 17 100%).

I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Depending on the time left on each auction, I wouldn't normally see a problem.

It depends... are the items similar, so that it's feasible that they'd want to bid on (say) several of your card-making supplies listings? My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

It really depends what the items that are being bid on are.
For example, in markets where the prices are pretty similar no matter who you buy from, I might bid on several of those sellers items, just for conveinince, or in order to get reduced shipping (e.g. If I am buying craft materials, or CDs, etc.).
If on the other hand, the items are all totally different and unrelated, then it might look more suspicious.
I am not sure how many of your average eBayers would actually bother to check this kind of thing out though, so I doubt most people would even spot it to be worried about..0 -

I only started selling properly last week (kids clothes mainly at the moment), and have had a number of bidders win 2 of my auctions. This person up to yesterday was bidding on 3 of my auctions which was fine, but somewhere between 1am and now they have bid on a further 7! Not new listings either, things that have been on for days.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

While they are similar in that they are clothes they must have loads of children as they are bidding on 3 month boys, 1y 2y 3y 4y girls items!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I wouldn't see a problem here, they are just interested in the other stuff the seller is selling0

I have bid on about 12 items from one seller when it has been clothing. I think I bid on items at different times of the week too. I wouldn't worry too much. Does the bidder have good feedback?0

maybe they run a market stall - used childrens clothes? are they designer labels? things they could feasibly sell on for profit if they are a trader?0
