Willion Electronics

Options
I am looking for a new fridge and used a price comparison web site to find the best buy and it identified a company I had never heard of called Willion Electronics.

I noted that this was a new company with no feedback from customers. When I proceeded to check out, I found the only payment option available was bank transfer..

Willion Electronics MAY be a genuine company, but I decided to pay more and order from John Lewis.

    Very wise.

Any company that tries to induce you to use an irreversible method of payment (except when collecting in person) should set so many alarm bells ringing the fire brigade will turn up.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

If willion.net is owned by Mr Peckaitis then that name alone should set alarm bells ringing, Braix.com and frold.com come to mind.

Check out WOT for Willion as well.............

    Thanks guys.

It seems on line comparison sites do not verify companies before promoting them? I hope this serves as a warning to other MSE users.

    Refunds
Willion.net operates a non-refundable policy on all transactions.

    Returns for Items Purchased
Purchases (including pre-orders) cannot be cancelled by the user for any reason.
Unopened products may be returned within a 7 day cooling off period for a replacement or full refund of the price paid by the user.
In the event that you have received a faulty or incorrect product, we will only issue a replacement within 28 days of the purchase date. Contact us to arrange the return of your product. We will not provide a refund or cover the costs of delivery for your return. Items must be sent back to us by recorded delivery. In this event, the manufacturer may need to be contacted.

So illegal terms as well? Refunds must surely be allowed under DSR, and if the goods are faulty, they can't limit liability to 28 days, postage not paid - surely??

    Sorry to hear that jpires.

Can you google the bank transfer details, name/account number etc. and see if those details come up for any other bank transfer scams that may have been reported.

No, I think you find it might be Darius Peckaitis again.
