ppi reclaim-woolwich

hi,
Took out a loan with Woolwich Building Society in 2000 but do not have Account number or any relevant paperwork.Have filled in PPI questionairre form from Ombudsman and have just had a reply from Barclays. They have done a FULL investigation and say that i was not missold PPI based on the info i put on questionairre(minus account number). The response does not surprise me, but how can they do an investigation without any acc number?Or have they found Acc number and are just ignoring it?
Is there a way of getting Acc details without going through Barclays???

They are required to see if there is anything mis-sold. Not to see if it was actually sold correctly. So, their checking could be limited to not very much. or they just looked at your history, found the account number, were happy with the way the documentation looked and rejected it.

Look at your own records or no. Why is the account number so important to you?

He actually asked if he could find out account details.
However, I think we can assume his concern over the account number being missing on his questionnaire is due to an additional concern that the Bank may not have done a "full investigation" of his complaint.
Since he didn't mention the nature of his complaint, it's hard to comment further.

The full investigation would have been to identify anything that showed evidence of misselling based on the information provided by the OP.

If they had nothing about him in a relevant filing system then the investigation be exhausted without finding evidence of misselling - if only because there was no evidence that a policy ever existed.
