Hi everyone, its me back with a couple more how to questions about my Macbook 10.6.8
First I seem to have lost the drop down spelling window which would show spelling versions of misspelt words.
Second the spelling is American in spite of my changing it to UK English.
Third, when connecting a projector I have to slide the screen to the right for it to be shown on the projector and I cannot see what is on the projector screen on the laptop screen. DDs little Dell notebook shows the projected image on the screen so can I get the Macbook to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Also open up the System Settings and check in Language & Text that you have British Englist at the top of the list of languages.

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Thanks, I have already done that and set british English but it still underlines words such as "realise" unless I use American spelling.0

Ah yes. Well I think realize is one of those words where we used to use z rather than realise with an s for a long time. In fact I believe the z version was the correct spelling which the Americans stick to and we tend towards the use of realise.
I seem to remember someone telling me it started when printed books and newspapers became common, the typesetters had lots of the letter s and not many z so they started to replace z with s in words like realize and organize etc. and it's stuck. An example of how languages evolve.
The Oxford English Dictionary entry is realize (also realise)

Sorry to poach original question, but I would be grateful for an answer. (Mac user)
Clicked on my link to the USA gov site for its ESTA, needing to update for our visit at end of month.
Although I have used it a number of times, a message popped up saying the
mac couldn't verify the authenticity of the site.
The same thing happened with the Archers Direct site once.
