safestyle !!

i had a knock on my door yesterday when i opened it it was a young male , he said he was from safe style and at that point i cut him off and pointed out the "no cold calling/salesman" sign on my door. he replied that that doesn't apply to him because he isn't selling anything he is only looking to make appointments for the sales team  . i asked him what he thought "cold calling" meant at that point he started to swear and i shut the door.
i don't understand how this company keep trading their reputation is worse that rubbish.

If anyone comes to my door, I usually cut them off before they've finished their sentence. Especially if I can see their Id card with the name of the company.

The last salesman actually was for Safestyle.

Most times though I don't bother going to the door.

Book the appointment - then dont answer the door.

The companies carry on because its viable.

If the ratio of missed appointments increased it wouldnt be viable and they would stop doing it.

We managed to get our house blacklisted by half the double glazing companies in London as my Dad once got so fed up of the cold calls on the phone he agreed to see them all at the same time. I think 12 of them turned up at once and he had to hold the meeting in the garden.

I invited them to quote me for some windows a few years ago. The salesman was the scruffiest, smelliest person I have ever had in my house. His car leaked oil on the road outside my house. Their quote was way over everyone else's (even Everest) so I declined.
What amazed me was the number of phone calls they made to the mobile phone i purchased AFTER he had called and which had a new number. How did they get that number?

I've got Safestyle windows and doors, and have had a couple of their sales people at the door who can't even spot their own company's units being fitted - oh dear ;)
  • we live on a housing est thats owned by our HA.

we used to get a few safestyle people up here and rude isnt the word.

i once answered the door to a guy covered in sweat, trying to pledge free windows from the GOV schemes. i told him call our HA and see what they say about it and he told me i was a Fcking stupid little Prck i didnt need permision from my HA to change their windows.

i kindly told him to fk off or ill place his clip board into the back of his skull via his 4rse.

i then had at least 4 calls a week on my mobile from them who then when you tell to go away bambarded me with abuse!. not a nice company to deal with. in the end i answered but said nothing on the phone just placed it down on the worktop or setee and let them waste their money on phone calls.

I just want to punch the guy from the adverts in the face. Not had the pleasure of a phone call/door visit yet.

I say don't buy one, run away!

Any company that can do "buy one, get one free" on a regular basis is obviously inflating their cost dramatically, and to be honest the adverts are enough to make me want to avoid ever touching them.

I don't understand why they would get so abusive or aggressive when asked to leave - any decent salesmen will take rejection in his/her stride having spent hours on end being told now.

I also don't justify the householder acting in this way either.

Maybe report them to watchdog, if this isn't an isolated incident then it may make interesting TV.
  • We had some work done by them.A salesman knocked on the door at the right time-we need the work doing so it was good timing by him.
The chap who came around to do the pitch was mildly annoying and I had to keep cutting through the BS but I got the windows for the price I had in my head(about 1/3 of the initially inflated price) and the work they did was very good. The house is now warmer and there's a lot less road noise than before.
