New Acer desktop , all going lovely till we use the keyboard 
to get @ have to press " , various other combo`s available ! lol

I have no doubt that someone more informed than me will be along soon enough but it sounds like it is set up for 'American' use, you would need to check in the keyboard properties on the control panel.0

Torbrex is right, go into keyboard settings in control panel and change it to english UK.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
