Hello,
Can anyone recommend an affordable company to hire a wheelchair for a holiday please?
I only need one for May for a few days as I have fibromyalgia and need one for when i get tired. Ideally needs to be one i can easily fold up as im travelling there on the train.
Thanks in advance

Couple of options for you to consider ..........
Check out your local Disability transport dealer/shop in your town/city , nearly all have a hire system for wheelchairs and mobility scooters , wheelchairs can be hired from as little as £5 per day , with a returnable deposit , scooters are not much more!
Make sure you hire the correct wheelchair for your use , either self propelled or attendant use .
If you have a Shopmobility outlet just give them a call to ascertain your needs , better still , pop down and try a few !
Please remember that letting your train operator know that you will be using a wheelchair will enable them to make sure that assistance on boarding/leaving the train is available to you !
Have a nice , and safe , journey !A Bast**d I May Be ! I Was Born One !

Can only echo what the above poster has said, we always use Red Cross when we go on holiday. I think they have charged us around £30 in the past but that does include delivery and collection to our destination (wheelchair doesnt fit in the car with all the luggage).I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.

if you have no luck with red cross there is shop mobility, they do hire of wheelchairs and i am sure they can accommodate you, just dont tell them its for abroad.
