passcode forgotten on ipod touch-can we restore it?

hi,we have tried various codes to unlock my daughters ipod,we tried to using itunes but no luck and if we restore on itunes will
she lose all her pictures and videos??
help please!

If you do a Factory Restore on the iPod then you can then resynch it with iTunes.No free lunch, and no free laptop

If its been backed up up lately it will let you do a restore after a DFU wipe, it wont let you do a normal restore without the password, so youll have to put it into DFU mode, wipe it and restore from a backup0
