Morgan Stanley statement adjustments

I keep a regular check on my Morgan Stanley account online, and just recently have noticed, on three occasions, all in the last week, an additional amount described as 'Principal debit adjustment' followed, on the same date, by the same amount described as 'Principal credit adjustment'.
Two of them are identical amounts to actual transactions that had taken place a day or so previously, the third appeared not to be.
Maybe my paper statement will make it clearer, but I just wondered if anyone else had had these adjustments and knew what they were for?

I had a credit adjustment when they credited some of my cashback money into the account0

No, that's not what I meant. Example:-
18 Feb 07 PRINCIPAL DEBIT ADJUSTMENT £90.00
18 Feb 07 PRINCIPAL CREDIT ADJUSTMENT £90.00CR
The amounts always cancel each other out; well, so far! And errors that need correcting do happen. But three in a week? And is it just my account, or is it happening to others?0 -
I had one of these this month.
The balance on the previous month's statement was £2.00 CR (i.e. I was in credit due to a refunded transaction.)
The latest statement showed these 2 items:
07 Feb 07 PRINCIPAL DEBIT ADJUSTMENT £2.00
07 Feb 07 PRINCIPAL CREDIT ADJUSTMENT £2.00 CR
There were lots of new transactions as well of course, which were as expected.
I was puzzled, but since the 2 items cancelled each other out, I wasn't too bothered.0 -
I had the same on my last statement. Just didn't worry about it when I knew they cancelled each other out as well.If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0
