Hi guys, my egg anniversary 5 months is up at the end of next month, so it's time to find other cards to bung my 14k onto. Obviously no other card is gonna give me a 15 odd grand credit limit, so i'm gonna apply for two cards. My questions is, when i tell them i want to do a bt, do i ask for 7k from each or 14k and see what i get. If both cards give me a 10k limit will that put my egg card in credit?

Why not wait and see what credit limits they give you before doing the BTs? The only exception to this is with some MBNA cards where you can skip the BT fee if requested with the application (though some report the new T&C no longer allow this trick).

Also if your Egg card does go into credit it is no problem. Mine has been in credit many times. Just BT the credit off again.

Reaper...how do you do a BT of the in-credit balance on Egg back to current a/c online?

Just follow the steps as described in the [thread=35096]other thread[/thread]. It's the same whether you are in credit or not.

Do £8k each... likely they will grant you a lower credit limit anyway / transfer, that way you may save on BT fee, depending on the cards T&C's off course.
