downloading freeware - help needed !

I want to download a couple of freeware games -- pushover and asteroids - but they just go into folders and the 'application' in the folders when they download will not open - anyone know how to do it ?

From curlysworldof freeware - have now managed to get the games homepage open , but the up and down keys for the menu are the only ones that work - enter , my mouse or any other keys are all dead , so the page will not work even though the graphics are moving0
