Xen tan is my favourite, it has olive tones not orange tones, smells better than normal fake tans and is easy to apply without streaking (I think!).
My best tip for avoiding orange palms is wear rubber gloves when applying, then when it comes to doing the backs of your hands, put some direct onto the back of your hand and use the back of your other hand to rub it in. If any gets where it shouldn't, remove it with soap and water asap. Be careful not to get any water drops on where you've applied tan and want it though!0 -
I use st moritz and buy it online, it is very cheap but works as well as all the expensive ones that I have used, I wear latex gloves to apply it so that I dont get tanned hands!, you can get these from a chemist.0

i am useless with rub-in tans of any description, i just can't make a good job of it.
i like this though, its a spray and its subtle -

this one with the diffuser is good too, but i can't see it online just on its own -

Buy yourself some professional spray tan solution in a colour/strength that is suitable to your skin tone a 500ml bottle lasts me about 4 months at least at a cost of £25-30 depending on where you buy from (online) with once or twice weekly use, apply with a tanning mitt and always wear disposable rubber gloves:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I find the spray tans to be very messy, although you can get quite a nice deep tan. Also it's best to shower before bed as it comes off on the sheets  I only like a slight tan so I just buy a pack of the tanning wipes which I feel looks more natural. You can get them from most chemists for about £1-£1.50 for 25 wipes. I buy a couple of packs & begin my tanning a few weeks before my holz.0

Oooh I never thought of doing this - that's a fab idea0 -
I've had fake bake tans done before and I like the colour so I'm going to try and do it myself! Bought the lotion and airbrush but I can't get to grips with the airbrush!
Wish me luck!0 -

Use a tanning mitt its much easier and gives you more control, you apply the product directly on to the mitt and then use the mitt on your body, you can buy a back applicator or even better use a 3.5 inch foam paint roller for hard to reach areas:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Glowgirl...what routine do you do? Do you apply it in the bathroom and does it stain the sheets or do you shower before bed? And do you apply it to certain areas first? Sorry for all the questions! I intend on applying fake tan before my holiday as i am so white (lol).Do you think i will need to apply more whilst away? As its for 10 days.0
