Citibank Direct Debit Problems

Has anyone else had problems setting up direct debits from their Citibank account???

Most have gone through fine but Scottishpower & Vodafone can't seem to set it up.

Any suggestions what the problem might be before I try and contact them?

Ask them to do it manually as sometimes the data is yet not updated in the systems.

Ask who?? Scottish Power Etc? As i have tried that with them but still no luck. They have said that the sort code hasn't been recognised. I have had my account open for about a month now so surely it should go through no problems.:rolleyes:

I am with scottish power and when I called them they said oh our systems do not reconise that sort code and account number, We will have to pass it to the accounts dept. 48 later I get confirmation through the post that it has been set up. Check Citi online and its done.
