No longer have credit card account details, how can I get these so I can claim?

Held 2 Barclaycards for a few years, cancelled in 2008. Have since changed name (got married) and moved house. Am sure with it being Barclaycard that the PPI would have been on there without me knowing it, so would like to try and claim back. However, I no longer hold any paperwork, previous card numbers or anything. If I ring them, do they have to give me the account info? How do I start the process or am I scuppered?

Hi there
Do you bank with Barclays?
If so call in and on request they will give you the details of any accounts you had taken out with them.
It may be a good idea to maybe take some proof of your maiden name as well.
However, another way would be to send a subject access request (SAR in short), this way you pay the one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order, they have 40 calendar days to comply.
There is a SAR letter template below link, and again if you bank or banked with them you can use your bank account number and they will use that to send any copies of paperwork of all accounts you have taken out with them.
If you do not bank with them, give them as many details as possible, dates of then you settled and so on, your new and old surname, addresses, date of birth etc. In order for them to track down everything you've taken out with them.
