Hi everyone, I've been reading this forum since receiving a parking invoice last year. So far I have been following the advice given on here and ignoring all the letters, threats etc from the ppc (ukcps) but it appears things are now going to go further and I may be finding myself in court. So, I'd now like some advice a bit more tailored to my needs, just in case these scammers do try it on in court. I'm a little apprehensive about giving too many details away right now, location and date of ticket etc, in case Mr Hasbeen identifies me from that info, but am certainly willing to forward it all on to an experienced member via a pm. Any ideas on what to do next?

If you only have a '10 day notice of Court' or other threatogram then it's a bluff.

If you have real sealed Court papers then please tell us that and a regular member can pm you. Alexis or givethemFA can usually help with your defence. Do not reply to a pm from anyone else with a low post count offering to 'help'. It will be Haswell.

Its my thoughts that they could only take the driver to court. You are not legally obliged to tell them who was driving the car.

So I presume, if it got that far it would be thrown out of court anyway.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Yes, its the 10 day notice of court letter. I thought maybe Id need to start getting a defence together, just in case? I will file it with the rest though and continue to ignore, have got a folder for them all now.

Don't bother with anything just yet. If you do get a genuine sealed claim, bearing a case number, then come back to me by PM and we will deal with it. It won't be anything to worry about, I assure you. Haswell loses every time if it is properly defended and he isn't suing a severely disabled housebound cripple who can't attend. BIG MAN, Peter!

(p.s. I am told even the housebound cripple beat him in the end. What was it, blue badge slightly off-centre on the dash that you fined them for, hasbeen?)

Haswell reminds of those school bullies who like to pick on the weak.

Fast forward 10 years and those school bullies are floundering in life.

    Ring any bells peter?

Hasbeen is looking for his single win to shout from the roof-tops from, it doesn't matter to him that in the process of getting that 1 win (which will most likely be a default win as the court papers was sent to an old address) he losses several hundred.

Hasbeen did apparently wn a case against 'Davey Weir' (pepipoo username) for parking in a disabled bay in a hospital car park. 'Davey' came to pepipoo a bit late and the defence wasn't very robust I believe. He then had another small claim from another PPC - unlucky! - and won that one as he faced it in a much better prespared way and knew the defence.

The funny thing is that Davey is broke and got agreement from the judge to pay at a fiver a month! Hasbeen will be waiting years for the stupid amount claimed! :rotfl:

And Hasbeen won against a very elderly disabled person who was to ill to turn up and defend himself for - guess what? - parking in a disabled bay!!

Yes, even in an industry which has a reputation lower than a snake's belly, this man manages to remain at the very bottom of the pile- how anyone could do that is entirely beyond my comprehension. And no doubt he's proud of himself for winning?
