Just back up everything, insert new SSD, do a clean install of Lion from a USB pendrive, and transfer everything back over.0

You need to do a clean install to get the best performance from the SSD so it's worth the effort. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0

ps. any opinions on the Crucial M4 128GB SSD??
I bought one after looking into the subject carefully. The Crucial M4 may not have the best "headline" performance in terms of read/write speeds, but it has a much better reputation for reliability than most other brands.
I've only had mine for a couple of months, so it's a bit early to comment on reliability, but I had no problems installing and loading the OS on it.0
