ISA transfers

Hi,
The new Santander ISA's are saying that any transfers in must be within 14 days of the account opening. My past experience is that you are at the mercy of your previous provider in this and 14 days seems too tight. I have a recollection of something in the news last year about ISA providers having to improve on this, can anyone advise?

Santander would have to request the transfer in - are you sure that it is not the request to transfer in that has to be with Santander within 14 days of the account opening?
Might be worth checking.0 -

From the front page of the 4% Fixed Rate ISA
What you need to do:
To apply
You need to be aged 16 or over and be a UK resident.
Be able to make your initial deposit/transfer in request within 14 days of account opening.
Have your National Insurance Number to hand.
Transferring from other cash ISAs
Cash ISA transfer in applications must be received within 14 days of opening.
I 'opened' mine by xfering an existing Santander Flexible ISA on 7th. Still waiting for the Welcome Pack containing the external ISA request form though so the 14 day deadline is quite tight. Might bite the bullet and visit local branch :eek:0 -
When you open the Santander A/c you have 14 days to advise Santander of the other ISA A/c's that you want to transfer to them.0
