    I struggle to keep on top of all aspects of my life themadvix and i dont work so to speak so its no surprise that you would struggle slightly ,i think you ,me and everyone else i know have so much going on now its hard to keep up with it all its just part of life it seems .

    I keep meaning to ask you if you have had your results from the drs yet ,dont answer if you dont want to but i hope you are feeling much better now and it was just one of those things that come and go .

    Good that you have lots of work though isnt it and as you say just keep plodding on with the overpayments and at least you will have a choice.

    Morning all.... I think? I got less than 4 hours sleep last night (time for a new mattress/body?!) and am feeling distinctly below par this morning. Am meant to be doing my accounts and invoicing but a) PP doesn't seem to want to convert my $ into £ for some reason and b) I'm not sure I'm with it enough :(

    Ebay continues as buyer has now admitted he didn't use the item correctly, and needs to check with wife... so probably/hopefully will all get sorted!

    Not sure what today holds - I think I'll probably put some paint on the walls, as that doesn't involve much brain power (although it does involve energy!). Am going to call in at mum's later on way to Brownies - I took DH to the station at an ungodly hour, but it means I have the car :) (otherwise it's bus, train and walk to Brownies). Have started rereading Tilly's thread from the beginning - will have to drag myself away from that!

    Dad is coming to give me a hand with decorating tomorrow while DH continues with my car. Will need to buy a chippy lunch (apparently all dad's work for chippy lunches!)

    MS things:
    * VB poll done; OP at £13.65 - slowly, slowly, catchy monkey; SBs half done, might leave it there though.
    * Baked a bara brith and some flapjacks. My Nan used to make bara brith all the time when I was little and there's nothing better than a warm bit smeared with butter :) This is the first time I've made it, but it won't be the last. Am taking some to Mum's later. Made flapjack for DH (not sure if he'll like the bb) and I didn't want to heat up the oven just for one thing.
    * HM pizzas for dinner last night - delish
    * Babysat for sister last night as she and her OH went to a nursery evening meeting. Saved on our heating bill and when I got home warmed up my wheat lamb for bed.
    * Paperwork for 2nd T3sco account has arrived - will get that sent off and then I'm good to tart!

    NY resolutions:
    * Steps were dire yesterday, should be much better today
    * Missed kitty playtime
    * Have done yoga this morning though! (No podcast yet, brain is not that with it!)

    Gratitudes:
    * Mmm bara brith
    * Car for later
    * Loved Animals with Camera on TV last night

    Have a good day all, hope you're more awake than me!

    Mmm bara brith! Ours was shop bought, as my mum worked full time, but it was tangy and spicy and lurvely :)

    Sorry the sleep's been bad :( and I'm with you on not doing accounts while you're feeling like that!

    Mmm... bara brith. :D

    Morning all!

    Thanks for popping in over the weekend Karma, Tilly and Michelle :)
    Karma - it's always my Nan who baked, never mum! And I'm not sure she always had the excuse of working full time either... :)
    Michelle - Our other cat might be prepared to leave and come back to his food, except for the fact that he knows his brother will eat his portion! We feed them separately and have to sprinkle greedy cat's dry food on the floor (or put it in a feeding ball), otherwise the sound of his teeth on the bowl set my teeth on edge - he literally hoovers his food up!
    Tilly - it's worth rereading (I think someone else is doing it, can't remember who and that's what put the idea in my head) - I've already amended my porridge cooking ways, potentially saving a little bit more energy!

    Had another weekend of decorating, but the end is now in sight. Just the woodwork and radiator to do in the dining room and the ceiling and first coat are done in the bedroom. :T Apart from quiet work time, not sure when I'll get much more done before we go away on Wednesday (which I have a feeling I may not have mentioned!).

    Client finally paid (two weeks late), so I have paid myself and done the money shuffle this morning. Just £1416 to find before buffer fund is replenished. The next few months are looking fairly positive work wise, so hopefully we'll be on an even keel soon. The Santa share money from Mum has also helped this month. (Replenishment would have been better had we not had ill kitty over Christmas - vets bills on cc ate into my savings, but I guess there's always something).

    We're off to Ireland on Weds until Sun - going to a wedding, but having never been, we thought we'd take a few days to explore. We're sharing an Airbnb with BIL and GF and have a hire car (£18 for 5 days, including excess waiver insurance - :money: ). Hopefully it won't be too spendy - Saturday will be catered for, we're going out for a family meal on the Friday night, but otherwise we'll try to cook at home as we've got a kitchen. Not sure about spendy BIL and GF though (the ones buying a house currently...).

    Our cupboard are well stocked at the moment, so I'm hoping for a cheap month foodwise. I'm going to set a target of £75 (and hope we're under that). That'll have to exclude our trip to Ireland though. We've spent £7.37 on food and £5.60 on chips (for working lunch on Saturday) so far = £12.97. Milk and veg deliveries have been cancelled while we're away (obviously) and we've got plenty of fresh in that should last until we get back. Freezer is full too.

    MS things:
    * YG survey 50p
    * OP at £14
    * Meter readings done (only £2.20 in credit now! :( )
    * I won one of the Radflek radiator reflector packs last week :)

    NY resolutions:
    * Decorating meant I didn't wear fitbit over weekend, but I did lots of activity!
    * Yoga last night
    * Kitty playtime done
    * Have decided to alternate yoga and podcast practice as it was too much to fit into a morning. MWF = yoga, TT = podcast

    Gratitudes:
    * Help from Dad with decorating on Saturday - was nice to spend time with him and even nicer to get so much done! :)
    * Tea diffuser present from my sister for my birthday - no I have almost plastic-free tea

    Sorry, gratitudes a bit lacking, but I'm not ungrateful - just haven't left the house/had much energy except for decorating for last two days!

    Have a good Monday all!

    Popping in to say, I'd allowed myself £100 in my current a/c this month, but no need for that, so have moved £25 to savings - deficit now £1391 :D Should be more that I can move over there, but will leave it for now.

    Have also transferred the cash from holiday savings for our euros - collecting at the airport (prebooked, obviously) - just got to remember to pick it up!

    ETA: We're going to see Aladdin tomorrow night too - last year's Christmas present from the in-laws (we're terrible at booking stuff!). We'll use the treat fund for train tickets and dinner (with voucher if applicable, but we won't be bound to it as we were given money for a meal too).

    Morning all,

    Very quick post as have been busy with work and now running out of time to get everything done!

    NY resolutions currently all out the window - again only 4 hours sleep last night (too much to do on my mind). Will restart all of these when I get back from Ireland (although steps should easily be covered while away).

    MS things:
    * Using free Amex Gold card lounge passes tomorrow - free lunch (and DH is driving, so free wine too :) )
    * MS rewards clicked, SBs swago done as much as possible and claimed. Once I reach payout I'm going to give it a bit of a break I think. VB poll done - close to payout here.
    * Walking from a non-station car park for train journey to London tonight - should save about £3.50 (parking is £7 regardless of how long you stay at our station cp!)

    Gratitudes:
    * Headache I had yesterday seems to have gone :)
    * Pretty much done with work until next week (a small bit to do for one client if she gets it to me in time)
    * Forecast is warmer in Ireland than here! :rotfl:

    I doubt I'll post while away, so have a good week all! x
