Sorry to hear about your cold, all the typical back to school lurgies are flying around at the moment and how annoying about the car boot sale. New week - hopefully you will have a better one:)0

Thanks everyone for dropping in. I've not been updating much because we're super busy at the moment - carpet in spare room is being fitted Monday and room is not finished yet, we have ~20 coming around on Saturday (why can't people give a straight answer when you invite them to things?!) and then we're out tomorrow and Friday (which will be lovely, but puts the pressure on now!
Monthly update:
Mortgage last month: £98, 659.89
Mortgage this month (normal payment only): £98,215.72
Original Kitchen 'Debt': £2438.63
Last month's kitchen debt: £2204.28
This month's kitchen debt: £2189
Reduction: £15! (And this was because I hadn't spotted all the money last month... I actually had to borrow from savings again to pay cc bill this month).
Busy with work too, so things will be better this month.
£25 win on PBs this month too (in just over a year £175 of winnings), so this will go towards the pot.
Must go now, many many things on the to-do list! Next week calm will be restored!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

And breathe.... it's been a long four days! Last Thursday and Friday we had a great time - using up experience vouchers we'd been given for Christmas/birthday - a spa day on the Thursday (bliss!) and then I had a two-hour (randomly turned into 3 hours!) owl and eagle 'experience'. It was brilliant, I got to hold loads of birds and catch them as they flew to me (including a 10lb bald eagle - she was incredible!). Saturday we had lots of people round for 'Oktoberfest' - we had German food and people brought beer (and other drinks). It was good fun but a lot of hard work (and DH is already talking about 'next year'!).
Yesterday we had to finish the spare room as the carpet was fitted this morning. This has to be a record for me - less than two weeks from ordering to fitting.... local companies win hands down! It looks great and I'm really pleased with the service.:j
Finance-wise, Oktoberfest didn't cost too much (~£40?) as the wurst from Aldi were bargainous :beer: and I made the pretzels etc. Thursday and Friday's expenses come from our 'treat fund', so also haven't affected spends too much. More to the point though, DH has been given a £3k payrise (and the promise of another one in April)And he's going to siphon it straight off to pay off the mortgage (at least until March, when we may divert it for moving fees). :T:T:T
My Dad also gave me a fiver for selling a mattress he was trying to get rid of on Fb, which was a nice surprise!
This morning I've been playing catch up with work, and a new project has come in, which will be ongoing for the rest of the year hopefully. I've also done all my clicks etc., so trying to get back on top of the earning side. Have claimed a £20 Am voucher this morning from my web monitoring doo-dah.
AOB:
* Lots of leftovers to eat
* House is tidy
* Moving onto small bedroom for decorating - needs clearing first, sure to find more to sell!
* Credit with fuel company still growing (£56 now and 3% interest on credit balances) - no heating yet!
Gratitudes:
* Wonderful few days
* Carpet fitted without any hassle
* Lots more exciting stuff coming up in the next few weeks (theatre trip with won tickets; day trip to France, eurotunnel has a £20 return offer on; London to Brighton; trip to Cadbury World with Brownies :EasterBun
* House is getting ever closer to being finished
* Quiet day today! :rotfl:Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Getting back to normality at last! I must get around to everyone's diaries - I've been reading but not commenting.
MSE:
* SBs survey done, but I didn't get the credit, so have sent them a message - in the past they've always been good about crediting, so fingers crossed.
* SBs clicks and Swago done - lots of free SBs today (nearly at £5 Am voucher again)
* VB poll done and £1.62 on PA earned
* £14.24 from VB paid (less tax, this will go into debt/savings)
* Washing on the line
* No heating, although I'm getting close to caving! (Have my wheat sheep on my lap today)
* Lots of work to get on with
Gratitudes:
* The last pretzel, warmed in the microwave... yum
* Motivation levels are high for getting things done right now - which is promising!
* Loving the new spare room (carpet is so springy!)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I love it, you're really on a roll!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks KC, I do feel very 'on it' at the moment.
Forgot to add earlier that I checked on my pension earlier - about £16k now, which considering I didn't have a pension 18 months ago, I really rather pleased with!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Wow
since thats a newcomer to your financial planning, thats bleeping impressive :j:j:j
And from what I hear of pension legislation, its getting to be more and more important.Save2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC - I'm rather impressed too! And while I'd like to be paying it off, my student loan bill is reduced because I get relief on that too when I'm paying into pension. Apart from not being able to access it until 55 (or the govt say I can), pensions seem to be a winner all round.
Not a lot to report today, but want to get back into swing of posting daily - it helps, definitely.
MS things:
* Have listed something that was already on ebay on FB as it's a collection only item.
* Clearing small bedroom has begun, but there seems to be a pile of things needing selling/things already listed that aren't shifting/things I need to sell on behalf of Brownies/raffle prizes for Brownies!
* 2 surveys on VB for £7.50 (total) - back up to £8.60 already
* Lots of work coming in and getting done
* Comps etc.
* No heating - wheat sheep and alpaca socks today!
Gratitudes:
* Sis and niece popping round shortly for a cuppa (I suspect that will turn into lunch)
* Alpaca socks(we bought these last year in Munich and they didn't get much wear as we'd already got the heating on - I find the extra warming bits get more use at this time of year as I try to keep the heating off. DH is already a convert!)
