Wow, loved reading all the animal updates :D:D:D

You're doing great with the comp entering and assorted MFW activities, well done! It's made me realise how slack I've been on such things lately - must do better!

You folks are so lovely, thanks all for dropping by!!

We had an awesome time at Robbie :T and while the tickets weren't cheap, we definitely saved by driving rather than getting the train (only costs were parking, petrol and a cheap supper from Waitrose). Parking was a nightmare though - bad enough that all the roads were closed (because of the concert) on the way in (so they could funnel you to where they wanted you to park), but we sat for 2 hours in the car park trying to get out on the way home and we were some of the first back to the car (station car park, they had the cheek to charge more for Robbie parking). the staff were blaming it on the traffic lights outside the car park, but frankly I don't think this is acceptable - not when they're advertising the car park for event parking and charging more for it. I'll be writing a strongly worded email today, with the hope of getting a refund.

Despite being back at the car by 10.30, DH and I didn't get home until 2 as we had to drop our friends off (and didn't leave the car park until 12.30). This wiped us out completely on Saturday :( We did see the in-laws and stay for a BBQ there though, which saved us cooking.

Sunday we went out for an event with a car club (riding in someone's 100+ year old car) :D We had an awesome time, made some new friends and the £48 was money very well spent :D

    MS things:
    * I spent most of Saturday in front of the computer entering the remaining comps on the comps board (that I was interested in). I'm up to date now, so will try to keep it that way (and slightly concerned that we might win too many breaks to Cornwall and run out of leave - first world problems! :rotfl: )
    * Didn't spend a penny on rip-off food at Robbie
    * Saved £35 on the train fares + cab
    * NV survey, TV survey done this morning

    Gratitudes:
    * Making new friends yesterday - everyone we met was really friendly and down to earth
    * Amazing time in the really old car!! (I want one, but we're talking 2nd mortgage territory - it's a long-term plan)
    * Amazing time at Robbie
    * Lovely weekend celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary :)

I have much to be grateful for at the moment, I am really appreciating it :)

Must go and get washing on line and next lot in - too much fun, not enough housework being done!!

Quiet day today, workwise.... Have entered many many many more comps.... I think I am a bit obsessed! No wins yet ;)

Have had plumber and plasterer in touch asking what the situation is this morning re the kitchen... We're still waiting for electrician friend.... Have told him that if he can't do it, he can't do it - it would be great if he could, but he works far too much and has two small children and another on the way. Hopefully we'll get an answer out of him tonight one way or the other.

Had a response from the parking company - no refund. They unfortunately said that they thought the problem (which was out of their control) had been sorted... I suspect this was a backside covering exercise, but it means there's no hope of a refund.

Feeling a bit bleurgh today and struggling to find motivation (for anything other than entering competitions!). I'm blaming the weather - what happened to summer?!

    MS things:
    * CC bill arrived and looks okay
    * fuel bill arrived - we owe £120, but I'm not surprised as their winter estimates were very low - hence I send them readings every month. Haven't heard from new supplier yet re switch
    * TV survey, VB poll, YG survey done
    * £co finally replied about my complaint that I'm still waiting for cb to paid from Jan/Feb (despite premium membership) - they asked me what the query was about!! Grr.... so sent them fairly stroppy reply....
    * SBs surveys done and larger daily goal met

    Not much going on...

    Gratitudes:
    * the rain, we need it, even if it's not much fun
    * Mum's kitchen will be finished before we rip ours out completely - will be able to visit for dinner and WM!
    * lots of kitty cuddles today :)

:rotfl: Pearla and Blackste, I'll let you know if I need to palm them off onto anyone, but from what I've read, I'll be lucky! I have got the hang of entering now and it's taken less time today to get through all the new/daily ones. I'm just so impatient though.... I've not won anything yet!

Have done some work this morning, but have run out now... unfortunately it's the time of year when things quieten down a bit.

    MS things:
    * £co finally paid out *some* of the seriously overdue cashback... so £2.45 is winging its way to me
    * All the Nectar points for holiday have been credited now - a grand total of £16 in there... am hoping that they'll do their exchange for Pizza Express voucher offer again later in the summer... mmm doughballs!
    * MS rewards points building nicely... although I'm behind DH. We're hoping we might be able to use these for Groove music passes to save on Spotify costs
    * DH is still taking his new friend to work :) Need to follow up on what happened to the £10 she gave him last week... think it might still be in his wallet and not in my sheepbank!
    * SBs swago is back, so lots of extra bucks to be made there... nearly at cash out for £5 Am voucher.
    * VB and Prolific payments are in, will add to OP fund when I withdraw them.

    Not so MS news:
    * My car is going to need some serious work over the summer... there's a whole litany of things wrong with it and it needs some TLC. DH (and I) will do the work, but getting hold of the parts may be difficult/expensive at times. In good news, it'll mean I won't be driving anywhere so will save on fuel. No idea how we're going to fit this in around fitting a kitchen, but we'll see... Still haven't heard from the electrician :(

    Gratitudes:
    * Good evening class last night
    * Haven't needed to water the garden (and the water butt has refilled :) )
    * Friends are still able to come to a barn dance with us at the weekend and have offered to drive :)

Another £2.08 confirmed on £co, so have withdrawn that.

Have meal planned for the week and spent £29 in Sainsbury's, but I don't *think* we'll need anything else (bar the milk which is delivered) until next week. It's very rare for me to go to a supermarket and need a trolley, but I didn't have enough for a delivery. Planning the meals does mean we at least have some nice things to look forward to!

35p VB survey done too - am a third of the way to next payout already.

Have a good evening all :)

The more I think about yesterday's trip to Sains, the more depressed I get - I realised last night that I left the £1 coin (a shiny new one at that!) in the trolley :( I never have enough to use a trolley normally, so it just went clear out of my mind. And then, as I was in the kitchen today I noticed that there was a voucher on the pin board for £3 off a £20 spend that I'd forgotten to take :( I'm a rubbish MFW!!

Am currently listening to calming music for cats.... yes, you read that correctly.... There was a link on the freebies article to it - apparently there's been quite a bit of research into music that calms cats and dogs. It's very nice piano solo music and I have no idea if it's related but one of the cats has come into the room for a very purry cuddle since I put it on!!

    MS things today:
    * Comps entered
    * Surveys done - I've lost track, but quite a few
    * MS Rewards searches nearly full

Not a lot happening until pay day... looking forward to topping my savings back up.

    Gratitudes:
    * It stayed dry when I walked down for Drs appt
    * Carpet fitter came and sorted out carpet - there was a hard lump sticking up outside our bedroom door - turns out in was a surplus bit of underlay he'd missed. Glad it's sorted now.
    * A game of Exploding Kitties is on the cards (no pun intended) for this evening - no TV :)

    Have good evenings all! :)
