Good that you're getting plenty of viewings Vix! Excellent work! Sorry about the airport house - that definitely sounds like something that would be annoying (or you'd just stop hearing it after a while, but that's a big risk to take!)
Good luck with your TGTG collection! I've not had one yet - there's never anywhere remotely near here, and as you can't specify veggie I fear we'd end up wasting some of it which isn't really the idea...6 -

I'm a bit nervous about this TGTG - but at least Mr TMV eats meat! (Have street viewed the shop - it's in the next town - and it's a proper grimy-looking corner shop....). A new experience, either way! Apparently 90% of the food saved by TGTG gets eaten, which is a really good result. And 75% of people head back to the shops as normal customers. So it has benefits both ways. The best opportunities for grabbing a bag are when you know you're heading to a city, I think. We've still not got over the amazing doughnuts we got in Soho just before lockdown - they were fantastic!
I'm feeling super productive this afternoon. I've finished almost all my work (just doing a little bit on the big project, but until Mum's finished with her bit, I can't do a lot more); I've posted the second RM parcel - which took me for some exercise and a spot of blackberry picking; I've prepped my invoices for the month (to send on Tuesday); and I've drafted an email for several clients regarding rate increases in January and set up a spreadsheet to keep a track of what different rates clients are on. It turns out that some of my 'recent increases' that I remember implementing are actually 5 years ago (and some have never been increased going back 8 years)! Going forward I think I'll be implementing incremental increases every year (which of course I should have been doing forever!).
All in all, a good afternoon. Have a nice evening folksMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

When I did the RM surveys years ago, they sent me a box to post to somewhere in the same town! The man in the PO was very suspicious about why I was spending c£6 to post something I could have delivered by hand and I wished I'd come up with a decent cover story!
Be sure to fill us in on what comes in the bag 😋 Sounds intriguing either way!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Yes, I’ve had that before - not just the same town but about the same distance from my house as the post office!! Very walkable! I made something up about everyone liking a surprise in the post sometimes!!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Shouldn’t have worried about TGTG, was a good haul and all relatively fresh/unprocessed stuff. Turns out the store sells Coop branded stuff....Sorry about the terrible photo! All stuff we can use 😊 (but two packs of ham and a meat-based sarnie, so not great if veggie - could always give to homeless person/charity I guess though)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Sorry Jessy, think I mentioned it a few pages back - it’s an app called Too Good to Go. They list participating shops and restaurants near you that will sell a bag of whatever they have left at the end of the day for a bargainous price - usually about £3 for £10 worth of goods. There’s only a limited amount of bags though so you have to be quick (you order and pay via the app and then take your phone in store and show them during the collection window and they hand the bag over). Have also discovered there’s one called Karma, but far fewer places listed on it. And there’s Olio too, which is like Freegle for food (previously no one was using it around here but I checked again last night and it seems that some are now, so will keep an eye on it).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I downloaded it yesterday to take a look, but so far all that's on offer is pub roasts. I'm also sulking that it's put my location as a not-very-nice part of town about a mile away 😮! I will overcome these minor niggles though and persevere!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Morning all,
We've not yet tried a pub roast SC, but we get them round here too. Reckon they could be good for turkey sandwiches as well as a roast. If it's anything like the other places I've tried, it'll be quite generous. My sister was getting very excited about it all last night, but whether she'll actually manage to nab what she'd like (Morrisons) is another matter - popular things go very quickly!
Have done the tiny bit of work and the PA daily survey (it's very relaxing!) and we'll be heading off to the in-laws shortly. Need to pick a couple of squashes to take and of course we're taking our lunch - the sandwiches from yesterday.
MS things:
* PA survey
* Clicks
* Bargainous bits from TGTG
Gratitudes:
* DH cooked a good stir fry last night - not had one in a while
* Goodies from TGTG
* No work!Nice to have a day off (and make the long weekend even longer!)
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
