    Afternoon all,

    Spent most of today in the kitchen baking... it's taken me a while to revive from that. Still, all the biscuits are now baked for gifts. Just need to clear up now! Other than that, it's been a quiet day - not needed the heating on (with the oven on) and DH is still feeling under the weather, so haven't done much (he's fiddled with spreadsheets, we've despaired at ever being able to afford the sort of property we'd like.... the usual!).

    MS things:
    * YG survey
    * 1P survey
    * 2 x PA surveys
    * Clicks etc. done
    * Biscuits for gifts.... not sure about the effort required here, so something different needed for next year!
    * Cooked lunch from stores

    Gratitudes:
    * The bloomin' biscuits are done!
    * A surfeit of gifts from Brownies last night - very generous of them
    * Pizza party went well at Brownies :)

    Have a good evening all!

    That sounds like a *lot* of effort, madvix - no wonder you'll be checking out alternatives.

    Hi all,

    Thanks KC and Crumpets. I was about to post a proper post-Christmas update yesterday when I received the news that my Nan had died. It was a relief for her in the end, we all agree, but that doesn't make it any easier at the moment. So I'm not really ready to do an update now but these few bits come to mind:

    * 5 portions of turkey curry for DH in freezer and 2 weeks' worth of turkey for cats (plus served 4 on Christmas day and left plenty of leftovers for in-laws.
    * Have had two separate compliments for biscuits, so the effort was worth it!
    * Have largely kept up with clicks etc., just done a survey for 75 SBs.
    * DH has gone to work today to save himself an extra day's holiday
    * We have enough food to last through a siege, and not all of it is chocolate!

    Will be back properly soon. Struggling to think about 2019 positively at the moment, let alone formulate targets. x

    Oh madvix, I'm sorry to hear about your nan, and sorry its happened on NYE. Of course you don't want to do an update right now - there are still some things that will need to be done (in relation to your nan, I mean, sorry), there are phone calls that need to be made, and there are memories to share. Take care, I hope you raise a glass to your nan tonight.
