Yes, Earthie! And passata, olive oil, pasta flour and pizza sauce.... it goes against the grain as I hate havng more in than I need, but I'm thinking it's likely these things may go up in price. I've not gone mad, but there's enough to keep us going in case the cheese goes off at the ports! :rotfl: Like I said, first world problems....Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hello :hello:
Just popped over from my diary to yours to subscribeI'm going to resist the urge to read all the way back, tempting though that is...
So I shall just jump in from here and try to figure out what you're talking about as we go along
Hope that's ok

Cheese is important :j:j:j
And actually, I just watched a documentary about the history of Wensleydale cheese, fronted by Steph from the Beeb News (I love that woman!). Really interesting.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Karma, I've seen the ones about pottery and steel in that series - fascinating stuff! Will have to catch up on Wensleydale at some point.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Whoops - realised I was halfway through a proper update post yesterday and must have closed the window - I thought I'd posted but I hadn't!
Not a lot to report... Finally got around to updating the spending diary for November. It was not good.... £1790 (£50 in vouchers) spent!! Some of this was items that are budgeted for - car tax, cats' vet check up, medicines etc., but there was £360 in the travel/going out and food out categories (I couldn't quite work out how we ended up with so many categories!). This included a weekend break at the beginning of the month and an expensive (for us) night out for DH's birthday (some of which can come out of our treat fund, although in reality, I don't think it did when I paid the cc off). It also included the full costs of Dads' presents (combined birthday and Christmas for both of them) - in reality siblings will pay for some of this. However, UF January is definitely needed.....
I've topped our joint TSB a/c up to the £1500 limit - about £100 that was only earning 1.3% is now earning 5% (why didn't I do this before?!).
I've got a RM parcel to post in a minute (that will be quick at this time of year, I'm sure!) and then I need to do some work before heading out. Hoping to visit Nan today - the home has been shut because of a sickness bug, so we've none of us seen her in a week. Party at Brownies tonight!I've decided we're having pizza, which is a definite departure from the norm!
MS things:
* Clicks etc. SB survey for 50SBs
* RM posting (L2S vouchers for sending a cube)
* Mum's Christmas present (the last that's not homemade) came in on budget
Gratitudes:
* DH made it home safely from work trip yesterday - he rang on his way back to say he was stopped at the services and felt terrible.... so glad that a break helped
* HM pizza last night
* Brownie party tonight - it's been a loooong term, I'll be glad of a break (have also just submitted the last form needed for our Disney trip in Jan - glad to have got that done!)
* It's the shortest day of the year - tomorrow will be longer!!!
Happy Christmas Friday everyone!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

TSB topup sounds great
ouch to all the November outgoings - I think I might join UF January just to see the emails actually, I've never done it before, but I was reading the Frugalwoods post about it yesterday.
Hope your OH's terribleness is nothing catching, and enjoy the brownies party. Awwww!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
He's just getting over a cold/cough and it had been a long drive. Think he's okay now, although we're both looking forward to the break (very unusually he's taken Christmas Eve off).
The emails are really good for UFM - they make you think!

Thanks
Hope you have a good one too x
Credit card bill is looking *much* better this month - everything bar some food in Ikea is budgeted for as food or presents, so until the Christmas supermarket delivery on Monday (which for us is actually mainly my Brexit stash), all is good!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
