Lost work _PPI claim

Hello all, someone please help!!!!!!! i lost my job in 2005 at that point i had PPI insurance for my credit cards. When i fell into arrears i told my credit card company that i have this insurance but they decline to cover me at that instance but now when i ask them to refund the PPI ,they have come up with a offer but i am really not happy with the offer and more over they refused to cover me before and because of them i lost my credit reference now i have very bad credit rating.. can someone tell whether i should take them to ombudsmen or write the credit card company for more explanation for not covering me when i lost my job??

Write back and ask how they came to the figures, if they have done this to FOS redress or they only have info to a certain date to repay you the ppi then you must provide statements of proof that you paid this ppi previous to the redress date they did.

Tell them you were mis sold this ppi as when you wanted to claim they said you could not, this is a good reason for mis sell.
You could go to FOS, but the wait there is anything up to 2 years, so write back to the company and get the info you need before contacting FOS, if you do go the FOS route the offer that has been made can, i believe, be revoked and they will let FOS deal with this

Credit Card ppi is hard to calculate, they reset the card and if you had a credit balance at anytime then you do not get the 8% on those credit balances, have they given you any figures at all?.
