was ther not one woman though who did this time and time again bankrupt 3 times or something ...she didnt seem too upset...i think it would depend on your own moral beliefs ..if you think you can do it go for it ...i couldnt i need to have that bit of belief in myself that i am doing my best0

No I do not agree. I have too much self respect. I do get some satisfaction in the fact that I am paying for what I have. Okay I may not live like a queen, but there are more things to life than blowing money on toys and then walking away. Why do you think you are any more special than anyone else and should expect to get something for nothing? A lot of people (I know not all) in IVA's or going bankrupt have been through some pretty hard times to end up where they are, not necessarily living the high life.

me thinks grex is trying to stir up the forum!! people living like kings/queens for a year getting iva and then doing it all over again are unlikely to be visiting here!! More likely to be holed up in their "castle/palace" planning their next holiday or speaking to their financial advisor!!! I found what he said both vaguely amusing and a little disturbing and one thing I'm sure we all agree debt is not funny!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

I don't normally get riled up at all , but on a debt free wanabee board I found the original post in bad taste.0 -
Look through the OP's previous posts. You'll find someone who is arrogant, superficial and full of...erm...themself."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I find it amazing that people feel so threatened by people who have gotten themselves into debt that they have to cast judgement! I find it even more amazing though that someone would feel so threatened by people who are trying to repay their debts that they would post such a pathetic message on a support board. What's that expression about walking a mile in someone's shoes ...? I think I'd like to stick to my own shoes if this as far as Grex's shoes have led him.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 315 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts:money: LBM #2 - December 2017 - total £17,663.75 DFD - January 2023 :jDD - £500; OH - £7889; Barclaycard - £5135.29, Halifax - £1725.50, Plumbstop - £2226.62, HMRC - £187.34Contingency Fund - £10/ £10000

That's right, they are trolling. But the original posting was not as inflammatory as I guess was expected."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I'm actually half-serious!
Here's the plan, rack up a HUGE debt - say £30k+, then simply declare you cant afford it, go into a deed or an IVA, 3-5 years later thats you. Repeat until you're pensioned off. Sorted.
What's the point of being a "have not"? Live the high life and let the banks pay!
Obviously you need to have no assets, house etc, but hey. Life's too short....
Anyone agree?
The sort of rubbish I would expect to hear from a 13 year old!0 -
