Has anyone been in the situation where they cannot make back credit card repayments and if so have the credit card companies been helpful?I have been trying so long to get my debts paid.I have tried borrowing from banks but since my credit score is so low they won't even bother.I have tried looking online to make money ,still searching. Is there another way i can pay out my debts.

The Debt Free Wannabe forum is the place for this post. Lots of great ideas there for increasing the amount you earn & reducing the amount you spend. There are free organisations that will help you manage your relationship with credit card companies if you can not make the repayments.0

You need to do one or both of two things.
1) Earn more.
2) Spend less.
To earn more, consider overtime, a second job, a paper round or some of the things in this link such as surveys and market research. Allocate ALL of any new income to debt reduction.
To spend less, I'd suggest going to www.makesenseofcards.co.uk and completing a statement of affairs. Then post it on the Debt-free Wannabe part of the forum and ask for help there.
Starting points on cutting spend:
- mobile phone. Not a necessity. Go SIM only or PAYG and stop using it for outbound calls, internet etc.
- TV package. Freeview is free. And you have DVDs.
- Food. Stop eating out. Prepare your food at home.
- Work routine. Car share. Park further away for free. Take your own sandwiches for lunch. Drink water for free rather than a 70p can of Coke. Don't get a coffee. (These things alone save me £200 a month compared to what I used to spend).
- Social life. Cut it right back while you're skint.0
