Barclaycard Inaccurate Transaction Info

I notice on my Barclaycard statement, the vast majority of transactions show as "Signature Used" instead of "PIN Used." Only about 1 in 10 correctly shows as "PIN Used" yet I haven't signed for a credit card transaction in the UK for several years.
Also, I made a Paypass payment in a fast food emporium last week, and it shows as "PIN used", instead of "Contactless".
I don't really care, but just curious as to why this information is so inaccurate, and what the point in recording it is if 90% of the time it's wrong.

No idea my only concern is that the transactions are debited for the correct amounts.0
