in Credit cards
Hi folks newbie here, was hoping for some views on what iv had to endure from the above companies, quite long so appologies in advance.
in sept 2010 i was made unemployed,my credit card had unemployment cover,st andrews were notified and i expected policy to kick in in october2010,however after much ado and having to put in £2000 of my own money to cover the minimum payments,to cut along story short they finally payed my card off in feb this year, turned out that i could not sign on for job seekers allowance due to being in receipt of widowed parent benefit,
i was actually £600 in credit at the end ,which i transferred into my other account.
i went to use my visa card and it got declined, despite me asking if it was back to normal and ok to use, days previous.this coincided with me putting into reclaim ppi from st andrews.(as in my view the ppi had been misold)they then shut my account in mid conversation when i asked for a breakdown of what i deemed a high min payment on £500,£92 to be exact, bank of scotland refused too breakdown the £92,i think what happened was st andrews paid the full amount of my balance in one go x amount of days into my new bill term, hence leaving me with approx £70 of interest on my min payment for this month.
i have tried to speak to them but they just issue me with a letter saying basically go to the financial ombudsman, this even after emailing mr osario in an attempt to stop it going to the ombudsman and to try and sort it out.
my credit rating has been severely damaged due to st andrews not doing what was expected from the ppi and i incurred 6 late payments due to having to pay £2000 into my visa via min payments and of course my money ended up running out, bank of scotland visa did refund me those late charges but are refusing to restore my credit rating to that of 2010.
they admit that 18 months for st andrews to act was extreme and that i wont win a ppi claim as the policy finally paid out albeit 18 months late.
