Hi folkes,
A year ago I brought some insurance online through AXA. The transaction went through, the money was taken from my account. About a month later I got a message that made me suspect something had gone wrong. I checked online - no insurance policy. I rang them and after messing around they agreed something had gone wrong and refunded me the money. I ended up having insurance with Swiftcover who they own. Just recently I got a letter saying AXA wanted £156 saying they refunded me accidently. This represented the entire years worth. I responded trying to explain it was a problem with their system. They eventually admitted the fact and have now sent me another bill for £40 including an admin charge of £25 saying I cancelled the policy when it was due to a problem with their system. Anybody offer me some advice? Why should I pay £25 for their errors...?
