Nice read but he let himself down on the lack of the ABC button for a quick spellcheck.

Point d didn't make much sense either:
    12. For the avoidance of doubt (and without suggesting that you would), please do not do the following:
    d. [random mumbling] I note that your website says: ‘Unlike some of our competitors, we maximise the deterrent value of parking charge notices by ensuring that all notices issued are pursued if necessary to the issue of a court summons.’[/mumble] Please can you confirm that this is accurate and tell me how many claims you have pursued to a court hearing? Are there any Notices you have issued which have not been enforced? I note in this respect that a female member of staff in The Agricultural Inn told me yesterday that she had had a problem (albeit over a different issue apparently) with one of your parking tickets only the day before and I was given the impression that the Notice was not going to be enforced in that case.
So he does or doesn't want that bit done?

He should have said "correctly issued notices"

although the term "enforced" could at a stretch include those that were dismissed on their inhouse appeals process.

So I suppose a better wording would be How many have you taken to court who were not cancelled on appeal?

    Nice try, Tim.

Next time just ignore the d*ckheads like the rest of us.

I have to agree. As much as I like the law, the guy has been a bit of an idiot here I feel.

Path of least effort and resistance.

He should have just ignored, and if he had been one of the 0.00001% of cases they like to try litigation, then he would have had no problem crushing the company in court.

Instead, he has already shown his hand and will gain nothing from this.

On the other hand, it may simply be that he understands completely what he is doing, and wants to drum up traffic to his blog.

He may not have gained anything by this letter but he certainly hasn't lost anything.

That was an interesting read, especially as it is a pub local to me. Used to go to the Aggi occasionally, until it got taken over by some chain.

He could have ignored the ticket, but that wouldn't actually progress the argument at all. At least this is a different response, which may eventually lead to a more complete understanding of the situation.
