Why don't you just turn up tomorrow and ask to see her. Or alternatively call up and as to speak to the managing director / ceo...ie, go over her head. If she won't speak to you find someone who will.
Another option could be to speak to CAB and see if they can give her a rocket up her backside (so to speak of course).Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

I can't just turn up I asked her if I can come down and she said she hasn't got it all sorted yet and makes exuses again, the ceo or top man is her husband lol he's exactly the same as her, you can't speak to him and if you do he's very nasty.
I'm going to contact CAB as you said that should push her a bit.

Is this employer registered with the Inland Revenue. Did you get proper payslips with pay and tax details on them? Did you receive a notice of coding from the Inland Revenue showing what code was to be applied to that job? It just sounds suspicious the way they are operating and I'm wondering if the Inland Revenue know they employ people. If not they would be very interested to know about them.
If they are registered then I'm with everyone else on this go to the CAB you are legally entitled to a P45 and monies owed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I do hope you don't need a reference from this job, because I don't think it will help you very much!
If you are asked for your most recent employer, I would give someone else, and put in a covering letter explaining that at the end of your employment you were not paid and you have had difficulties contacting the company since. Also be prepared to explain why the job didn't work out, WITHOUT slagging them off. There are always two sides to any story, so make yours polite and reasonable, not a rant.
Anyone else got an opinion on that?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
If you are going to the CAB make sure you have all the details you need so that action can be taken straight away.
Previous employers details, your employment contract/dates etc. The number of phone calls you have made requesting the monies owed and the dates you made these calls if possible. If you have sent a letter requesting the monies owed - copies. Always make sure you have a copy and that you have sent it via recorded delivery.
I don't understand why she is making such a hoohaa about paying you 2 weeks paybut as mentioned before, it is an illegal deduction.
I would also say that you should get this sorted ASAP. If your local CAB is open tomorrow ... go there first thing. If not, try their advice line.
Details can be found here, they also have some links to basic advice there too via adviceguide.org.uk
Good luck and let us know how you get on!I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
this has happened to me very recently.
obviously i was very angry, so in retaliation the staff did not bother passing my messages onto the person who i really needed to speak to.
this dragged on for 4 months, i let it slide a bit as the boss as off ill - although that apparently meant no one did any work
i finally wrote a really stern letter to the director, naming the individuals who'd ignored my calls, including all details.
at that point i was ready for judge judy style action. i noted that if i did not receive payment within 7 days they would be hearing from my solicitor (non existent although my brother is works in debt management with a law degree).
problem solved in days.
name this particualar cow in the letter to someone much higher than her if you can, include copies of any contracts etc.
the CAB helped in a similar issue at christmas (i'm very unlucky, its not that i'm a rubbish employee honest!!), and were fab.
this is absolutely my pet furious peeve
good luck0 -
