my car went for it's first mot today passed no probs ..also got service done at same time...drove 5 miles to work then 3 miles towards home...whilst on motorway a stop sign came on in the motor.also another sign saying injector fault.....when i got home and checked the handbook it said serious engine fault ...now i've never had problems with this car before today never ever ...i'm wondering if it could be something to do with the service ...what do you think? any advice greatly appreciated

  • Definitely speak with the people who did the service - its too much of a coincidence. You need to get it back to them to check it out, whether its caused by them or not.

Chances are that the servicing has disturbed something under the bonnet, e.g., an oil pressure sensor, an injector, an air intake tube or whatever, and it's probably fairly easily rectifiable. (No guarantees though).

If that is the case, at least you know they actually did do some work for their money.
