I bought one of these: UNDER £400!
http://www.pcwb.com/catalogue/item/TOSAT260
I bought mine Via DABS - but they are now sold out (PCWB still have them - but be very quick)
The A120 Sat Pro is an EXCELLENT laptop.
In fact so Impressed were others that my dad and two of my friends bought exactly the same model for under £400 is a bargain.
12 month warranty, upgrade to Vista (for a cost if you really need/want to). Toshiba support and it has HDD protection, 70cm drop tested and has a spill-proof keyboard (up to 100ml!). OK its NOT a Toughbook - but it is spot on the money - you can upgrade easily if you want an external DVD/RW (£36 from my local PC shop for a decent one). I got 512mb of extra memory via ebay for £16.
Don't be seduced by bigger HDD and Vista options - you pay for them! if you need a bigger HDD - go for an external - again at a good price from your local PC shop.
